DEATHS
Mr. Robert Howe, senior, an old resident of Rylstone, died about 8 o'clock on Thursday evening last. Mr. Howe had been ailing for some time past, so that his death was not totally unexpected.

Mrs Howe, senior one of our oldest residents, died here yesterday from the effects of influenza A few more cases here are extremely critical

Robert Charles Howe married Sarah Bloodworth b.14 Nov 1822 Sydney & d.09 Nov 1981 Rylstone. Robert & Sarah were married 03 Sep 1840 Sydney. Sarah was the granddaughter of James Bloodworth 1759-1804 and his common law wife Sarah Bellamy 1770-1843 both convicts who arrived with the First Fleet 1788. James was sentenced for stealing a cockeral & two hens & Sarah for stealing a two pence linen purse containing £15 & 15 shillings from her employer.
James Bloodworth was a builder and built many buildings in the colony including the First Government House.

Sarah and Robert III lived in Rylstone NSW to be close to her brother, George William Bloodworth and sisters Ann Brown and Maria Coutts, who were also living in the district. Sarah died at Rylstone on 8 Nov 1891 and was buried in Gulgong cemetery
