DROWNING FATALITIES AT
KEMPSEY.
Kempsey, Sunday. — A man named William Perrin was drowned late last night off
the steamer Neutral Bay at Frederickton. Perrin was a passenger, and was under the
influence of liquor when at Frederickton, He was seen to fall overboard, and the boat
was stopped and every effort made to find the body, but without avail. The police
have been dragging all day, but without result. Deceased was married and had a
family.

John Perrin, residing at West
Kempsey, stated that he was the
brother of deceased ; last saw him
alive on Saturday night, the 28rd inst.,
at 8 p.m. ; did not speak to him ; he
was about 36 years of age and a married
man with five children ; he had been
in the colony 34 years.
