GORE-JONES-LAWSON.
At Christ Church, city, on Saturday evening,
the Rev. J. Hope officiated at the wedding of
Miss Lorna M. Lawson, younger daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Lawson, of Chatswood, to
Mr. Oliver Sheridan Gore-Jones, younger son
of Mr. and Mrs. J H. Gore-Jones, of Buderim
and Sydney.
The bride was given away by her father,
and wore a gown of magnolia-tinted satin, with
a Honiton lace yoke, and a train falling from
the shoulders. Her embroidered veil was held
in place with clusters of orange blossoms, and
she carried a shower armlet of tuberoses and
frangipanni.
Mrs. Neville Foy was the matron of honour,
and Miss Miriam Hall was the bridesmaid.
They wore gowns of flame-coloured georgette,
with hats of silver lace, and carried autumn
tinted posies tied with silver ribbons.
Miss Gwynneth Lawson (niece of the bride)
was the flower girl, and she wore a dress of
cream georgette and carried a basket of nas-
turtiums. Mr. Neville Foy was the best man.
and Mr. James Petersen was the groomsman.
The reception was held at the Waldorf, where
Mrs. Lawson received the guests, wearing a
gown of mauve satin, with a velvet coat of a
deeper tone. Her posy was of mauve and
pink flowers. Mrs. Gore-Jones was in a
gown of sapphire blue velvet, and carried a posy
of crimson roses.
When leaving for the honeymoon, which will
be spent on the Mountains, the bride wore an
ensemble of brown morocain, with a hat to
tone.
