DEATH,
On Monday, 27th June, at Memel, Edward
Lee, Esquire, Merchant, late of Bligh-street,
Sydney.

DEATH OF MR. FREDERICK LEE.
Mr. Frederick Lee, a very old colonist, died yes
terday morning at the advanced age of 83. His
death occurred at his residence, 280 Park-road. Mr.
Lee was well-known in business circles, and took
an active interest in various charitable institutions.
He was an active member of the A.M.P. Society,
and also took a prominent part at all times in ad
vocating the abolition of capital punishment, by
letters to the press and other means. At one time
he resided at Redfern, and was for many years as
sociated with the Masonic -brotherhood in that sub
urb. He leaves a grown-up family.
