OBITUARY MR. M. P. QUIRK. The funeral of the late Mr. Michael Phillip Quirk, uncle of Messrs Ted, Jack and Gerald Quirk, of Tumut, took place at The Rock on Sunday afternoon, September 19. There was a large gathering of friends and relatives of the deceased from Urana, Lockhart, Junee, Yerong Creek, Wagga, Collingullie, The Rock and surrounding districts. Deceased was a well-known and highly respected resident of The Rock district for a number of years. The chief mourners were Miss Dunleavy, Misses K. and G. Quirk, Mrs. Ballagher, Miss Mc Clusky, Mrs. J. O'Rourke, Mrs. Johnson (nieces), Messrs J. O'Rourke, Johnson, Gallagher, C. L. Pattison, J. and L. Dunleavy, Peter, Paddy, Frank, Jack and Tim Quirk (nephews), and Mrs. McClusky (sister). The pall-bearers were Messrs J. P. and T. Quirk, J. and D. Dunleavy, and C. L. Pattison. Rev. Father Bonner, of Henty, officiated at the graveside. There were many fine and beautiful wreaths. |
