Personal Notes: |
In the early 1870s, Samuel Needham used to take loads of flour, groceries etc in a bullock wagon through Coolamon to Rankins Springs, Conapara and Nariah Stations. On return trips carrying wool to Goulburn for trucking to Sydney. He kept a hotel at Houlighans Creek, Downside. He was an honest and upright man in all his dealings with sheep and cattle. |
