Thomas Eggleton was a blacksmith and arrived in the district in 1839. His wife was born at Pambula and they were married at Queanbeyan. They had two sons and five daughters.
One of the sons, Thomas Eggleton, owned and worked the farm just above the Blowering Darn wall Slte. Mrs. Eggleton died at Tumut on 8 April 1921 at 86 years. of age. It is regretted that more information about this pioneering family is not available. |
