Bertie Clarence (Dick) Nixon was in the Light Horse during World War 1. After the war he established the farm "Strathmore" on the Old Narranderah Road on the Murrumbidgee River. He had to sell the farm due to flooding of the river. The small cottage he built for his bride still stands. |
