OBITUARY MRS. THOMAS WALSH The death occurred at Valmar Private Hospital at 5.30 on Saturday morning last of Mrs. Clara Ellen Walsh, wife of Mr. Thomas Walsh of Russell-st., Tumut, at the age of 51 years, after four years of heart trouble. Deceased was a Tumut native-born, being a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Mur ray of Bombowlee. Twenty-seven years ago she married Mr. Thomas Walsh at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. They lived at Tumut and Bombowlee for several years, Mr. Walsh pursuing sharefarming on the late Mr. Andy Lynch's property, "Bombowlee," and for the last eight years they lived in Russell-st., Mr. Walsh carrying on sharefarming with his brother, Mr. Paddy Walsh, on the latters snug farm on Bombowlee . Deceased first consulted specialists in Wagga and Sydney about 8½ years ago, but relief was all that could be done for her, and for the past four years she has been under medical care in Tumut, the last twelve months being four or five times in Valmar. During the last fortnight her suffering became more acute. She had entered Valmar for five weeks and after being home for a fortnight had to become a patient last Sunday week. Although everything possible for her relief was done for her, she passed away as stated. She reared a family of five sons and two daughters, one of whom (Kathleen) died when four years of age. The surviving family are Harold, Jack, Beavan, Bede, Tom and Peggy (Margaret). Mr. Walsh himself and daughter Margaret were down with influenza at the time of her demise, the latter in the District Hospital, and therefore neither was able to attend the funeral. Deceased's living brothers and sisters are Michael (Tumut), Joseph (Cootamundra), William (Tumut), Ada (Mrs. Jas. O'Keefe, Gundagai), and Bridget (also married, of Sydney). The brothers and sisters who predeceased her are John, Jim, Peter and Stan, (the latter being killed in the Great War), Lena (Mrs. Walter Naughton, Sydney) and Miss Mary Murray. Profound sympathy is felt for the bereaved. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, leaving from the Church of the Immaculate Conception for the Tumut New Cemetery. The Very Rev. Dean J. Sharkey, P.P., attended to the obsequies and Mr. H. W. Baker carried out the undertaker's duties. The casket-bearers were Harold, Jack, Beavan, Bede (sons), William and Joseph Murray (brothers). Many beautiful wreaths were laid on the casket, amongst which cards indicated from the following: Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Edwards, Tom, Elsie and family, Herb. and Noel Sephton, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Baker, Glady, Percy and Sons, Mr. and Mrs. H. Murphy and family, Billy and the family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred.
