The Tumut and Adelong Times 14 Jun 1927
DEATH OF MR. CHAS. W. CLEMSON. In last issue we made brief mention of the death of Mr. Chas. W. Clemson, of Tumut, which occurred early last week . Deceased had been ailing for some weeks. He was one of the early young men of the second generation in this district, and after being employed on Red Hill and other stations set out West when large areas of lands were thrown open then for occupation under various tenures. He there settled down and married, his wife predeceasing him a few years back. There were issue of that union three daughters (Hilda, Myra and Constance), all living. Deceased re-married last year, the widow surviving. He returned to this district in 1919, having made a competence out west, and bought Killimicat, which he subsequently sold and purchased the home of Mr. N. Emanuel, where both he and his first wife died. |
