Mrs. Charlotte Roberta Bull.
The death occurred in the Narrandera District Hospital on Friday last of another of the grand old pioneers of the Riverina, Mrs. Charlotte Roberta Bull, widow of the late Mr. Henry J. Bull, of Narrandera, at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Bull was reared at ''Murraguldrie,' in the Humula district, and after her marriage in 1892 went with her husband to a grazing property at Jondaryan, near Griffith. They resided there until 1912, when the property, amongst a number of others, was resumed for irrigation purposes. The property is now part of the irrigation area. After leaving Jondaryan, Mr. Bull acquired a grazing property at Currajong, near Narrandera, and conducted it until the time of his death in 1947. In her younger days Mrs. Bull was regarded as a highly competent horse woman, and it was nothing for her to ride on horseback as far as Ganmain on visits to friends, a distance of about 60 miles in one day. She was blessed with remarkably good health throughout her life and suffered very little illness. She was possessed of a kindly disposition and was held in high esteem by her many friends. Deceased is survived by a family of four sons. They are Robert W. S (Stace) Bull, Currajong; Frederick A., Roseville, Sydney; Thomas, Narrandera; and Laurence (Lance), Darlington Point. One son, Francis, was killed in the First World War. The funeral took place on Saturday last, the cortege moving from St. John's Church for the Presbyterian portion of the Narrandera cemetery. The Rev. T. M. McBurnie officiated at the service at the church and at the graveside. The bearers were Messrs. Linton Bull, L. W. Davies, H. Magraith, and C. H. Lander; while the carriers of the floral tray were Messrs. A. S. McDonald and J. H. McNaughton. Mr. Graham Watkins had charge of the funeral arrangements.
