Desmond Eric George Ball was born 7 September 1911 in Cootamundra according to his RAAF records. He served as Sargent (Service Number 34014) on the 2nd Personnel Depot (Staff) from 30 September 1940 until 15 October 1945. He was the son of William Sidney Ball (1875-1949) and Eva Letitia Larkin (1889-1985). He died 17 April 1971 in Liverpool , NSW and was described as being late of West Wollongong.
