Wedding GOUDIE— GEAGHAN St. Thomas', Lewisham, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, January 15, when Miss Emeline Geaghan, eldest daughter of Mrs. Geaghan, of Petersham, and the late Mr. William Geaghan, Grahamstown, was married to Mr. Sinclair Goudie, fourth son of Mr. A. Goudie and the late Mrs. Goudie, of Bronte. The Rev. Father Ryan officiated at the ceremony. Given away by her brother, Mr. William Geaghan, the bride looked charming in a frock of white georgette, with a transparent lace hem and mounted on a pale pink satin, with a posy of orange buds on the shoulder. She added a rucked georgette train, lined with pink satin, and her hand embroidered veil (kindly lent by Mrs. Dainer, of Lewisham) was held in place with a coronet of orange buds. Her bouquet was white and pink roses aud cactus dahlias with tulle and ribbon streamers. Miss Bessie Geaghan attended her sister, as bridesmaid, in a frock of pervenche blue crepe-de-chine, with a tulle head dress to match. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and blue delphiniums, with pink streamers. Little Valerie Ryan was the train bearer in a frock of pervenche blue crepe-de-chine and a tulle bandeau on her hair. Mr Harry Woodward was best man. The reception was held at Sargent's, Market-street where Mrs. Geaghan received the guests, wearing a black crepe-de-chine frock, with pleatings of gold crepe-de-chine, and a small black hat. On leaving for her home at Carlton, the bride wore a black georgette coat over a red and black crepe-de-chine frock, with a crinoline hat to tone. |
