Viola Janet, eldest child of Frank HANSEN born 16 Dec 1856 in England of Danish descent, and his wife Hannah Maria nee FITCH born 03 May 1871 at Doctor's Gully near Daylesford in Victoria. Constable Hansen had joined the NZ Constabulary at Napier before coming to Australia in 1890 and serving at Vrana (where he met Hannah), Wagga, Tumbarumba, Albury and Lockhart. The Hansen family comprising parents, Vi, Olive and Frank Jm arrived in Gundagai in July 1909. Hannah and Frank stayed in Gundagai until retirement on 16 Dec 1920.
