MOUNT ADRAH NEWS-Sickness is amongst us, and the Public School is closed on that account. Every one sympathises with Mr and Mrs George Dennis in their great trouble through losing, by death from diphtheria, two of their children, who were well liked. 19 Jan 1904 Gundagai Times and Tumut, Adelong and Murrumbidgee District Advertiser page 2 DROWNING FATALITY AT JILLINGROE-A sensation was caused in Jillingroe on Saturday morning when it became known that Mr George Wm. Dennis, grazier, of Parkley, Hillis' Creek, had that morning been drowned in the Murrumbidgee at a spot called "The Island”. Wednesday 20 January 1904 THE GUNDAGAI INDEPENDENT (NSW 1898-1928) page 2 Drowned in the River-Mr G W Dennis Drowned While Swimming-Accompanied by his two sons and one of his employees he had spent the previous night fishing and while his older son and his employee were away catching the horses, Mr Dennis decided to have a swim. |
