The Tumut and Adelong Times 21 Sep 1926 THE LATE MR. FRANCIS PATRICK ADAMS The death of Mr. F. P. Adams, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Adams, of Russell-street, Tumut, which occurred in Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, on Tuesday morning last, at the age of 40 years, was briefly referred to in our last issue. Deceased was an ex-Alderman of Tumut and a native of Gilmore. He left Tumut for the city two years ago, where he had accepted a position at the Wentworth Hotel, of which Mr. W. McHugh, an old employer of his, was licensee, and remained with him until he disposed of that business. He occupied responsible positions at other hotels, and 10 weeks ago had to give up his vocation on account of ill health, having contracted influenza, which was followed by double pneumonia, from which he died a few days after the second seizure. He leaves a sorrowing wife (nee Miss Elsie Korn) and three children (one son 17 years and two daughters 18 and 15 years), parents, four brothers (William, Daniel, Walter & N. Cecil). On receipt of the distressing news deceased's mother and his brother (Tumut's Town Clerk) left by train for Sydney, and attended the funeral, the remains being interred in the C. of E. portion of the Rookwood Cemetery. Amongst the mourners were three cousins (Dudley Miller and Fred F. and Mervyn Workman).
