Death Cert states age as being 88 Years The Gundagai Independent and Pastoral, Agricultural and Mining Advocate (NSW : 1898 - 1928) Thu 8 Dec 1927 TUMUT. OUR OLDEST IDENTITY DEAD. The death occurred in Sydney on Tuesday of Mr. John Howe, the oldest man in Tumut district, he having reached 94 years, when the final summons came. Deceased, who was a single man, went to Sydney about six months ago, for attention. He has an aged sister close up to the nineties still alive— Mrs. Mulqueeny, who is living at Bulga Hut with her daughter, Mrs. McCormick. Deceased's remains were brought to Tumut to-day (Thursday) and interred in the R.C. cemetery. |
