OBITUARY MR. JOHN WILLIAMSON The death of Mr. John Williamson took place at his mother's home at Gilmore on Tuesday, March 22, at the age of 32 years. From early childhood he was almost an invalid, having met with a severe burning accident, which miltated against normal development. Some few weeks ago Mr. Williamson took ill, and in spite of patient attendance by Dr. Mason and gentle nursing by Nurse Jones the illness overcame him. The deceased had a very gentle nature and literally worshipped his mother, brothers and sister, who at all times throughout his life devoted every care and love to the afflicted one. Rev. Father Sharkey attended to him during his illness. The funeral took place on Wednesday, 23rd ult, and was largely representative of local and district people. Mr. H. W. Baker had charge of the funeral arrangements and carried out his duties in a very efficient manner. The pallbearers were Stephen, James, George (brothers), Fred. McInerney (brother-in-law), John Carroll (uncle) and John Murray (Adelong). Rev. Father Brennan, of Gundagai, had charge of the burial service. He journeyed to the home of deceased and read the prayers for the dead, and recited the rosary with all members and relatives of the family. He also read the prayers at the graveside. Deceased was the third son of Mrs. Williamson and has left a sorrowing mother, three brothers, Stephen (Gundagai), Jim and George (Gilmore), and one sister, Mrs. Fred. McInerney, of Tumut Plains.
