Said to have died as a result of the effects of burns and chill he received in the 'Chemist Shop Fire'. Denied by his wife.

Called 'Harry'.

Described by Ruby his wife as 'a great sport, playing football, cricket and tennis well; also running, jumping and a goodrough rider. Great lover of gardening, children and young folk. gay and full of fun, quick witted. He was wonderfula as a Pries with sickness and troubles. I have heard folk call him "saintly", an ascetic, a sport, good with his pen. Very good looking - true Irish type; black curly hair and dark-blue eyes; six feet and very slight. A really delightful man (heaps of folk can be found to bear me out).'
