Personal Notes:
Lillian Christina Kidman was born on 22 August 1899 in Cottage Creek, New South Wales. She was the daughter of Samuel Kidman and Ann Cogan. Lillian Christina Kidman moved with her parents, Samuel Kidman and Ann Cogan to Anduramba in 1908; Their daughter Kate and her husband George Hale had moved firstly to Dalby then to Crow's Nest shortly after their marriage in 1907. At the age of 19 years, 7 months and 5 days, Lillian Christina Kidman married James Clarence Davidson, son of William Davidson and Caroline Studders, on 27 March 1919 in Queensland. After their marriage they lived at The Brothers, Anduramba in a cottage supplied by Edward Peachey, Jim's employer. The new weather board house was lined with VJ pine. Jim felled and hauled timber to Pechey's mill. They remained there until 1928 when they moved to Hampton. Around in 1928 Lillian Christina Kidman and James Clarence Davidson moved to Hampton. Jim continued to work in the timber industry along with his brother in law Charlie Kidman. The children attened Merritts Creek State School. Around 1931 Jim and Lillian moved to their own farm at Mt Luke. He sold his bullock team to Jim Brady who ran a sawmill at Taylor. The family lived on the farm until the early 1940's. Lillian Christina Kidman and James Clarence Davidson appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1930 living at Hampton. James was a teamster.
