Personal Notes:
Lucy was known to all as nanny. Lucy Catherine Walsh was born 25 November 1907 in Gundagai and was the daughter of Francis Henry Walsh (?-1956) and Rachel Agnes Crane (1885-1968). The family took her in and she looked after all the children. Lucy and Bill got married we think after Mary died. Patrick was Lucy’s son but many people including my father Robert assumed he was Mary’s. Dad did not find out until Patrick died. She lived with Ev for most of her life but went to a nursing home in later years. She died 14 July 1995 and is buried at North Rocks Cemetery with her daughter in law Nell .
