OBITUARY
MR. W. A. POLGLASS
Mr. William Adolphus Polglass, of 449 Milton Road, Auchenflower, whose death is reported at the age of 83, only lived a month after the death of his wife, Mrs. Florence Mary Polglass.
Mr. Polglass was born in Charlestown, Cornwall, and was married in Dunedin (N.Z.). On his arrival in Brisbane he settled at Toowong, but later went to Toowoomba, where he lived for nearly 50 years. He was an alderman of the first Greater Toowoomba City Council, a trustee of the Neil Street Methodist Church, and a Mason. He was one of Toowoomba's oldest Justices of the Peace. Mr. and Mrs. Polglass were keen horticulturists, and their garden at "Penrice" won many home garden competitions. Mr. Polglass is survived by eight of his 10 children.
