WEDDING. SOPER— CORNISH. St. Helen's Church of England, Home Hill, was the scene of a pretty wed ding, when the Rev. N. Michael, in the presence of a very large gathering solemnised the marriage of Mr. Ernest Soper, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Soper, of Home Hill, and Miss Myrtle Cornish, only daughter of Mrs E. E. Cornish and the late Mr. R. T. Cornish, of Hazelglen, Home Hill (says the 'Herbert River Express'). The bride who was given away by her brother, Mr. W. T. Cornish, wore a frock of brocaded satin morocaln em broidered in pearls. Her embroidered veil was held in position by a ban deaux of pearls and orange blossoms. She also carried a beautiful sheaf of white and pink chrysanthemums and real orange blossoms. Miss Farqu- hasen, of Toowoomba, was bridesmaid and the two little train bearers were Missel Ethel and Joyce Cornish, nieces of the bride. The church «u beauti fully decorated for the occatlon. After the ceremony, the bride's mother en tertained over 30 guests at a reception nt Hazelglen. The honeymoon was spent at the Barron Falls, the bride travelling In a costume of tight brown morocaln with hat to match. |
