WEDDING. PATTINSON— BRABY . A very pretty wedding was solemn- ised at the Methodist Church, Ayr, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, the Rev. S. T. Vickery, officiating. The bride was May Rose Lavina Braby and the bridegroom was Robert Pattinson. The bride, on entering the Church on the arm of her brother, Mr. George Braby, was presented with a white satin horseshoe and streamers which was placed over her bouquet. Her bridal gown was of lovely all-over silk lace cut on classical lines, with a cowl neck and a train. Two veils were worn, one of embroidered net, and the other of embossed tulle, held in position by a coronet of orange blossom. Her bouquet was of white gladioli, gerberas and bridal fern, tied with satin ribbon and silver horse- shoes, and was the gift of her brother Mr. Martin Braby. The bridesmaids, Miss Angeline Walker and Miss Nell Fleet, wore dainty ankle-length frocks of printed organdi, pink and blue respectively. They wore flat crownless hats of crisp tulle and flowers, and carried pink and blue floral fans. Mr. E. Weston acted as best man, and Mr. Fred Braby was groomsman. During tbe signing of the register, Mr. T. Morgan sang "Because," ac- companied by Mrs D. Jarvis, who presided at the organ throughout the ceremony. The reception was held at the Cale- donian Hall, where the guests were received by Mrs. F. Hayes, sister of the bride and Mrs. W. Toomey, the bridegroom's sister. Rev. Vickery was chairman. The happy couple were the recipients of many gifts from their friends, including a beau- tifully decorated three-tiered wedding cake, made and presented by Mrs. W. G. Baker, Sarina. Mr. and Mrs. Pattinson left by mail train for Bowen, where their honeymoon was spent. |
