Part of Obituary for Thomas Terry.
As far back as 1840, in conjunction with Mr Wm Rudd (son in law?) - who was related to him by marriage - took up Howlong station on the Murrumbidgee. Prior to that he was managing the Berryjerry station which was at that time owned by Mr Leitch. After a few years he disposed of his interest in Howlong station and bought freehold land on the Murrumbidgee. In addition to this he availed himself of the then existing privilege of selecting land, a large portion of which he retained until a short time ago, when it was sold at a highly satisfactory figure. For some time he also owned land in the Wagga district - Lake Albert - which he disposed of just prior to the failure of the banks.
