GRAY-EADE A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at the Presbyterian church on Saturday, the 12th July, the contracting parties being Jack, the only son of Nurse Gray, and Violet, the second daughter of Mr and Mrs Chas. Eade ,Walker-street. The bride, who looked charming in a grey costume, faced with grey satin and prettily fin ished with grey buttons and hat to match, entered the' church on her father's arm. Mis Lulu Eade (sister of bride) acted in the capacity of bridesmaid and wore white cotton voile with guipure trimmings and a hat trimmed with tangerine and black. The officiating minister, Mr Klrke, received the party and joined the two young people in the bonds of holy marimony. It is of interest to note that the parents of both the bride and bride groom are old residents ot Townsville of over 25 years. The best man, Mr P. Anderson was the first to offer congratulations to the bride. .After the ceremony the party motored to Melbourne House, the residence of the bride's parents, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of and the usual toasts honored and a pleasant time spent In singing, and dancing. The happy couple left for home, with cheers and best wishes from the guests.. The popularity of both families and the esteem In which they are held was evidenced In the numerous and costly presents.
