The Late Mr. Thos. Hodgins.
The funeral of the late Mr. Thomas Hodgins, of High-street, West Maitland, took place yesterday afternoon, and the large following testified to the esteem in which he was held. After a short service at the house, which was conducted by the Rev. R. J .Thomas, the body was taken to, the Methodist cemetery at East Maitland, where the interment was made. The chief mourners were: — Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hodgins, Mr. and Mrs. John Hodgins (sons and daughters-in-law), Frederick, Charles, Harold, William, Reginald and James Hodgins (sons), Mr. William Bone. (cousin), Mr. and Mrs. E. Goodhew, Mr. and Mrs. C. Goodhew (sons in-law and (daughters), Mr. S. E. Wells (son in law), Mrs. G. Graham and Mrs. H., Cant. Sydney, (sisters-in-law), Hon. F. Bryantt, M.L.C., Messrs. Chas. Lovelock. C. and T. Lorder, Sydney, (brothers-in-law), Messrs. John and Frederick Hodgins (brothers), Messrs.

Death of Mr Thomas Hodgins
The late Mr Thomas Hodgins whose death occurred yesterday was a native of Tipperary, Ireland, and was 75 years of age. He came to Australia as a lad and he spent the greater part of his life in Maitland. For 45 years he was in the railway service and retired as a ganger. For 40 years he resided in East Maitland. He had 23 children, 13 of whom and his wife survive. They are Andrew and John (Newcastle), Charles (Queensland), Fred, (Ravensworth), William and Harold (West Maitland), Reg (Weston), Mesdames C and E Godhow, Mrs Harold Smith and Mrs F Findlay (Adamstown), Mrs D Conroy and Mrs S Wells (West Maitland). There are 48 grandchildren and seven great grand children.
