The daughter of Susannah nee Smith and Edward Miles, who married on 31 Oct 1803 in St. John's Church of England, Parramatta, NSW. Susannah and Simon had 11 (eleven), children, Simon, Elizabeth, Robert, Susannah, Edward, Mary Ann, John Myles, Sarah, Martha, Joseph, and Emma.

Funeral. — The burial of Mrs. Simon Freebody took place on Sunday last. The solemn cortege left Arable about 11 o'clock in the morning and arrived at the Gegedzerick cemetery at 2 o'clock, when the Roman Catholic burial service was conducted. There were fully 850 persons present ; 820 being counted while some were on the ground in waiting and others joined in near the cemetery. This number included 120 family connections. The scene at the grave were heartrending, and showed how deeply loved was the one who was being lowered to her last resting place. The deceased was universally respected, and great sorrow is expressed for her removal from her place.
