Sorrowful Death. — It is with deep regret that we have to chronicle the death, from typhoid fever, of young Arthur Levett, second son of Mr. A. Levett, of Bombowlee, near Tumut, and nephew of Mr. W. G Levett, of Mitta Mitta, and Mrs.S. White, sen., of Merribindinyah. From what we have gleaned the youth was away from home, and it appears the fever had taken a firm grip of him, when, about a week prior to his death, he went to Tumut and consulted Dr. Mason, who did all in his power to effect a cure, but it was soon evident that there was little hope of recovery, and the unfortunate lad expired to the dreaded disease on Saturday last. He was 20 years of age, and was warmly esteemed and respected by all to whom he was known in the district in which he was born, and besides was a general favorite of his own family. Being a steady, industrious young man, it seems disastrous that his career should be nipped when in bud. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, and was largely attended. Much sympathy is expressed for the bereaved parents.
