OBITUARY.
MRS. ISAAC NUTTALL.
One by one of the old pioneers who blazed the track through the wilderness so that those who came after them would find a smoother path than they had to tread are leaving us, and but few are remaining. The last to join the great majority was Mrs. Charlotte Nuttall, wife of Mr. Isaac Nuttall, formerly of Tumut Plains and Tarrabandra, and latterly resident of Tumut, where deceased passed away, surrounded by her husband and members of their large family. The subject of this obituary was a native of Tumut, being a daughter of the late Henry Hoad, Bombowlee. She was 67 years of age. Death was due to pleurisy and septicaemia, after a fortnight's illness. Mr. and Mrs. I. Nnttall were married in Tumut 48 years ago, there being a large family of sons and daughters, the daughters being Mrs. W. Lusty and Mrs. Syd. Graham (Sydney), Miss Ethel ; and sons William, Henry, Arthur, Fred., John and Edwin, and Mervyn and Herbert (adopted). Until 12 years ago they lived on Tumut Plains, where Mr. Nuttall followed farming pursuits, and then they removed to Tarrabandra, returning back to Tumut 12 months ago and living in retirement. |
