OBITUARY MRS. E. J. GLASSCOCK The death occurred in the Gundagai District Hospital last Friday week of Mrs. Eliza Jane Glasscock, relict of the late Mr. William Glasscock, at the age of 86 years. Born at Gundagai a few years after the disastrous flood which swept away the township, the late Mrs. Glasscock had witnessed many changes in the town, during her long association with Gundagai. With her late husband the deceased was widely known and greatly respected. After her marriage she lived at Coolac, but following the demise of her husband 12 years ago she moved into Gundagai, where she has resided ever since. A family of three survive, Mrs. O. Pettit (Sydney) and Messrs. Stan, and Jack Glasscock, of Gundagai. Mr. William Foster, of Coolac, is a brother. Only ill for some few days, the death of Mrs. Glasscock came as a big shock to her legion of friends. Her passing followed a sudden heart attack. The funeral took place at CooIac, Rev. G. E. Morris reading the burial service. The casket was borne from the hearse to the grave by Messrs. Bill Glasscock, (grandson), Bill Hourn, Tom Glasscock and "Pip" Field, all nephews of the deceased.
