| - Notes: James Bowcher, their eldest son, was a complete puzzle at first. All I could find
was his baptism at St Stephen, Exeter on 12 Feb 1806. When I read his father's will the mystery was solved - the family called him Frederick. Ian Stoyle, my trusty Devon researcher friend, finally found Fred Bowcher 45, musical page engraver and wife Mary living in Marylebone, London. |
