Personal Notes: |
In July 1913, the last of the Barnard children was born. Gregory St John (named for Isabella Elworthy's husband Henry St John Madden) didn't marry and was a jackeroo on a sheep station at Boulia. During World War II he served in the army in Italy and at Tobruk. Greg died in Brisbane from residual effects of a tropical disease, possibly malaria, contracted during the war.
