- Notes: Mr. Fred Emblen, youngest son of Mr. R. Emblen, Wagga Town Clerk, has joined the Australian Army and is now in camp at Warwick Farm. Daily Advertiser (Wagga Wagga, NSW : 1911 - 1954)Friday 17 September 1915 MR. FREDERICK EMBLEN The death occurred at his home yesterday morning of Mr. Frederick Emblen, of 117 Tompson Street, Wagga, at the age of 55 years. Mr. Emblen was born in Wagga and was attached to the P.M.G. Dept. all his life. A veteran of World War I. Mr. Emblen was a keen bowler, having been a member of South Wagga Club for many years. He Is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. D. Lawrence, of London, and Mrs. J. Sterne, of Sydney, his mother, of Best Street, Wagga; one sister, Mrs. P. Middlemiss, of Best Street, and one brother, Mr. A. Emblen, of Goulburn. The funeral will take place this afternoon, the cortege leaving St. John's Church of England after a service to start at 3 o'clock, for the Wagga Cemetery.
