Personal Notes:
WEDDING
MACADAM—HALLORAN.
At the R.C. Church, Tumut, on Wednesday last, Very Rev. Fr. J. Sharkey celebrated a nuptial mass, uniting in matrimony Miss Isabel, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Halloran, of Lacmalac, and Mr. A. C. Macadam, of Lacmalac Soldiers' Settlement, second son of Mr. James Macadam, of Randwick, Sydney. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in ivory brocade crepe-de-chene, shaped lapels of ivory georgette, finished with silver beading and plaits of silver, worn with a handsome wedding veil and wreath of orange blossoms, over a full court train of crepe-de-chene and pearls. The bridesmaid, Miss Annie Halloran (sister), wore a frock of powder-blue georgette, heavily beaded in silver, with powder blue hat to match. The bride's mother, Mrs. Halloran, was robed in nigger-brown crepe nyal, with shot bead trimmings, and radium lace (the work of Miss Mulqueeny), and hat to match. Mr. Frank Henery filled the role of best man. During the ceremony a full choir rendered the usual wedding hymns, and the Wedding March was played by Mrs. W. J. Fraser. The reception was held at Mrs. Broome's refreshment rooms, where the tables were attractively laid out, and the breakfast very creditably prepared. A large three-decker wedding-cake adorned the centre of the table, and the usual toasts were honored. The young couple left for their honeymoon trip by the midday train, the bride's travelling dress being composed of mastic charmante, with overdress of mastic henrietta, relieved with steel, and worn with black hat to match. The bride's and bridesmaid's costumes were prepared at Elphick's Economy Store.
