Rymer (Church of England) officiating at the graveside. The cause of death was an old leg trouble. Many years ago he had a leg badly broken on Pretty Bend and was in the hospital twelve months. The leg was badly set and had to be broken again and re-set, but it never got properly right and eventually caused his death. A genuine chap, Charlie was well liked. He was a native of Bowen, his parents, residing near Argyll Park in the early days, but spent most of his time in the bush, was a typical bushman, good with stock and very use ful on a station. He was em ployed by members of the Isbell family on Pretty Bend and other stations for a great number of years. He was an expert greenhide worker and could make almost anything out of that commodity. He leaves a wife, two daughters and one son.
