https://www.ancestry.com/boards/thread.aspx?mv=flat&m=1461&p=localities.britisles.ireland.wat.general My gggrandmother was Ellen Coffey who married John Acheson, a son of Robert Acheson and Sarah Gaine. Ellen and John were living in the neighborhood (Comeragh / Cutten) of each other between Dungarvan and Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford. I found a marriage record for them in St. Audoen Church, Dublin. Both had the same address in a boarding house at Merchants Quay, Dublin when they married 23th of June 1856. Six days later their eldest son, William was born in Dublin. William got christened in Killrossanty 13th of August 1856. So they turned back home as a married couple with a boy. Ellen Coffey was catholic, thats why the only son John was partly disinherited. Ellen and John had twelve children. Their son John, born 1869 is my ggrandfather. Marlise I would be interested to learn more about this Ellen Coffee. It seems she married a John ACHESON and had about six children between 1856 and 1865 (William, Robert, Richard, Susan, Mary, Sarah - There is a report on the on-line deaths index of the Waterford County Council of a further child, George Acheson, dying on 27 May 1867 dying aged 2 months of bronchitis). I am interested because a Robert Acheson (m. Susan GAIN)(some generations earlier thean the above) had two daughters Mary and Catherine who both married (mid 1830s) into the GAMBLE family of Cullenagh Kilmeaden. One of the Acheson sisters, Mary, is my ggg-grandmother. Any further information about this Acheson connection? Bruce
