SOPER-IRWIN.
A very pretty wedding was cele-
brated at the Roman Catholic Church.
Tully, on November 17, when Olga
youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Soper, was joined In holy wedlock to
Ernie, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs.
Irwin, of Coorparoo. Brisbane, by Rev.
Father Leahy.
The dainty bride entered the church
on the arm of her father to the strains
of the wedding march played by Mrs.
Barry. Her beautiful gown was of rich
satin moulded to the figure, featuring
a heart shape neck, the back of the
bodice being trimmed with loops and
buttons. The long sleeves were peaked
at the side and finished with tiny but-
tons. A fully flared skirt fell into a
long and graceful train. She wore a
cape bridal veil daintily embroidered,
falling to the bottom of the skirt and
held in place by a wreath of orange
blossom. The veil was lent by Mrs.
Hansen, of Cairns. She carried a bou-
quet of lilies and stephanders adorned
with white satin streamers.
She was attended by Mrs. Rector.
Innisfail, as matron of honour, wearing
a pink satin ankle length frock
trimmed with tiny frills. For head-
dress she wore a shoulder length veil
and carried a choice bouquet. Her little
flower girl, Pam Nickson, looked sweet
in a blue ankle length-frock trimmed
with tiny frills and carried a bouquet
of pink roses.
The duties of best man were carried
out by the bride's brother, Corporal
Stan Soper. The wedding breakfast
was held at the residence of the
bride's parents, where 60 guests were
entertained.
