Note 2: Burial info Ballarat Star 31 July 1889 Mrs Elizabeth Lawson, of Ballarat East, died yesterday morning after a lingering ill ness. Deceased, who was aged 58, in years gone by took a prominent part in local musical and histrionic affairs, as did also her husband, Mr Edward Lawson. Mrs Lawson, who suffered from heart disease and rheumatism, leaves a grown up family of six sons and five daughters.

Note 3: Burial info The Ballarat Star 24 Aug 1898 LAWSON.— The friends of the late Mr James Law- son, painter, are respectfully invited to follow his remains to the place of interment, the Ballarat New Cemetery. The funeral cortege will move from 186 Sturt street This Day (Wednesday), the 24th instant, at 3 o'clock precisely.
