The late Mrs. Jenkins resided at 28 Somer Street, Hyde Park. Born in Gym- pie, she came north 72 years ago with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Whybrow, her father work- ing on the railway construction between Charters Towers and Hughenden. Later the family moved to the Croydon field, Mrs. Jenkins then being only in her teens. After a stay of some 40 years on the goldfield, the family moved to the Batavia goldfield, finally coming to Townsville to reside some 11 years ago. She is survived by five sons, Edward, Frank, James, Henry and Cecil Densley and six daughters, Mesdames F. Stephens, R. W. Hickey and H. Dicker (Brisbane) and R. A. Smith, W. Bamford and Miss May Densley (Townsville), twenty eight grandchildren and 30 great grand- children.
