OBITUARY MR. S. GRUNDY We regret to announce the death of Mr Samuel Grundy, which occurred under distressing circumstances at his place of business in Gardiner-street, Moora, on Tuesday afternoon, The late Mr Grundy bad been associated with the business life of the town for a good many years, and the news of his death was .received with universal sorrow. At one o'clock on Tuesday afternoon the deceased was seen in the town apparently enjoying his customary health, and shortly after three o'clock he was found lying in an un - conscious condition on the floor of a shed at the rear of his office. Mr A J Simms (Inspector for the Commercial Assurance Co), who had a business, appointment with the deceased, found the body as mentioned and reported his discovery to the police. Constable Pimblett got into telephonic communication with Dr Allan and within a very short time the two were the scene: but Mr Grundy was beyond all medical skill and expired almost at the moment of the doctor's arrival. After Dr Allan had examined the body, information was conveyed Jto the acting-coroner (Mr W R Clinch, J.P;), who ordered an Inquiry into the cause of death. A jury was sworn in and an inquest opened on the spot. After hearing evidence the inquiry was adjourned to the following day to allow of a postmortem examination of the body being made.
