OBITUARY
ANN HOWE
The death occurred at the Royal Alexandria Hospital, for Children, Camperdown, Sydney, of Ann, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Howe, of Deep Creek, Adelong, at the age of 8½ years, after a long illness. Deceased was admitted to Valmar Private Hospital last March; but, on the advice of Dr. Mason, was ordered to Sydney to consult a specialist, and an operation was performed by Dr. Nelson in April. She returned home and was doing as well as could be expected until a month ago, when she was again taken to Sydney for the second operation, which was performed on Tuesday last; but she passed away at 1.45 the following Thursday. The casket was brought to Tumut by Friday's train and placed in the Church of the Immaculate Concep tion and the funeral took place at 3.30 p.m. for the Catholic portion of the New Cemetery. The burial service was read by the Very Rev. Dean Sharkey and Mr. H. W. Baker attended to the funeral direction and burial. Deceased was a pupil at St. Joseph's Convent School, Adelong, where she was very popular with her school mates. The coffin was laden with many beautiful wreaths. The pall-bearers were James and Jack McCormick and Allan Claffey (cousins), William Sutton and James Howe (uncles) and Mr. Rich ard Johnstone. Left to mourn their great loss are the sorrowing parents and two brothers (Ronald and James), for whom very deep sympa thy is expressed on all sides in their grief.
