TYPHOID EPIDEMIC AT TUMUT. TUMUT, Monday. — Typhoid fever has been raging in this district during the past two months, and there are now about 60 cases under treatment. Two deaths occurred yesterday from the disease. The victims were Matthew Egan, aged 25 years, and Miss Duffy, aged 22 years. The Board of Health would do great service by inquiring into the cause of the epidemic. The opinion of the general public here is that the schools should be closed.
