- Notes: The death occurred in the Tumut District Hospital on Saturday afternoon last of Mr. Percy Clarence Foord, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Foord, of Bombowlee, at the age of 71 years. Deceased, who was a bachelor, had been engaged in farming pursuits at Bombowlee early in life but later travelled extensively round the State following varied occupations. For sometime he conducted a wholesale fish business, securing good catches of cod from the Murrumbidgee. After being an inmate of the Wagga hospital on three occasions he returned to Tumut and resided near his relatives at Bombowlee. He was a patient in Tumut District Hospital for about a month prior to his demise which resulted from heart failure. Deceased was the last surviving member of the original Foord family. Brothers and sisters who predeceased him were Henry, Frank, Charles, Edward, Arthur and William Foord, Mrs. Geo. Groves and Mrs. Timmis.

Deceased was the sister of Messrs Abraham and Henry Anderson, of Bombowlee, and the mother of seven sons and four daughters, the following of whom were at home at their mother's death— Charles, Francis, William and Percy Foord, Mrs. F. W. Timmis, (of Picton), Mrs. C. Pember (of Bowral), and Mrs. Thos. Webb ; those absent being Mr. Harry Foord, of New Guinea, but whose wife was present ; Mr. Edward Foord, of Walla Walla (whose wife came to Tumut on hearing of the sad illness), Mr. Arthur Foord (Western Australia), and Mrs. G. Groves (represented at the death bed by her eldest daughter).
