OBITUARY
MR. J. F. ROURKE
Mr. John Faulkner Rourke died
in Royal Newcastle Hospital yes
terday, aged 74.
Mr. Rourke was a dentist, and
had practised in Newcastle for more
than 30 years. Before coming to
Newcastle he lived in Maitland.
A keen golfer, he was a member
of Newcastle Golf Club for some
years and a foundation member and
first captain of Merewether Club.
He was also first president of the
Dixon Park Surf Club, and a former
vice-president of the Surf Lifesaving
Association.
Mr. Rourke is survived by a
brother, Harry, of Maitland, and
five sisters, Emma (Mrs. R.. L.
Logan, of Maitland); May (Mrs. D.
P. Logan, of Maitland); Daisy (Mrs.
D. Warburton, of Singleton): Edith
(Mrs. Brentmall, of Sydney); and
Isobel (Mrs. W. Webster, of Syd

Mr. Rourke was a dentist, and
