DEATHS.
GRIMSHAW.—On the 8th January, at
Seddon, Annie, dearly beloved wife of
Walter, loving mother of George, Walter
and Tom. A resident for 65 years.

A NATIVE OF THIS CITY.
Some 66 years ago Mrs. Annie Grim
shaw was born in Thompson-street, her
father being in early business in that
thoroughfare. Miss Stewart married
Mr. Walter Grimshaw, of the Victorian
Railways Department, now retired. His
son, also named Walter, is an offcer of
the railways. Mrs. Grimshaw.died at
95 Williamstown-road, West Footscray,
on the 8th inst. The funeral took place
on Tuesday last, under the charge of
Mr. E. W. Jacksori and the Rev. J. H.
Goble (Footscray Baptist Church) read
the burial service.

GRIMSHAW.—On the 9th December, at his
son's residence, "Clifton," 95 Williamstown-
road, West Footscray, Walter Grimshaw
(late foreman Newport Workshops), the
dearly beloved husband of the late Annie
Grimshaw, and loving father of George,
Walter, John (deceased) and Tom, aged 80
years. Mother and father reunited.

MR. WALTER GRIMSHAW
A well known and highly respected
retired railway official, in the person
of Mr. Walter Grimshaw passed away
at his son's residence "Clifton" 95
Williamstown road, West Footscray,
on Saturday morning last. The late
Mr. Grimshaw, who was born at Man
chester, England, 80 years ago, leaves
a grown up family of three sons, his
wife and one son having predeceased
him. One son, Walter, is manager of
the Ballarat Railway Workshops, and
another son Tom, is loco engine driver
in the Victorian Railways, and was
well known as a South Melbourne
and Footscray footballer, whilst the
other son George, is connected with
Melbourne, and he also was a promin
ent footballer: having played first
with Port Melbourne and then with
Williamstown. The late Mr. Grim
shaw had retired from the Newport
workshops as foreman, when he be
came 60 years of age. The funeral
took place, on Monday morning, from
his son's residence to the Williams
town cemetery where intermen took
place in the family grave, in the
presence of a large circle of friends
and relatives. Among the many
beautiful wreaths 'was a magnificent
wreath from the Ballarat Workshops.
