Personal Notes: |
The ISAAC twins, Mona Jane and Margaret Letitia (called Lettie) were born in Adelong on 23 Jan 1861. At South Gundagai in 1885, Mona married saddler William Henry CARR, born at Tumut in 1859. He left school about 14 and served his apprenticeship at Wilcannia with the well-known Blakeneys. He was only 19 when he went to Gundagai to set up his own saddlery business. An 1886 ad says his premises were next door to Leary's Criterion Hotel.
He and Mona had ten children over a 25 year period. Mona died on 20 ApI 1940 aged 79; Bill was 88 when he died on 10 Sep 1947. Both are buried among relatives at South Gundagai. |

This public tree has about 60,100 people. Every person in the tree is related by birth or marriage to at least one other person in the tree - no strays. The people in the tree come mainly from four projects.
If you find errors - anything incorrect (dates, places, wrong parents, wrong children), and you have evidence, I would love to fix them. Or, if you have information that would extend my projects, do not hestiate to contact me on the email link below. I do not publish information on living people - which means I'm not much interested in people born after about 1920, and I usually distrust material from before about 1770 without extremely good sources. g.bell@bigpond.net.au When you click the mail address abouve, if it does not open your email app, copy the address on the screen.
