. SMITH-CROSS. . Aquiet wedding was celebrated at the Hyde street Methodist Church on December 22, when Miss Hilda S. Cross, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs Cross, of Paisley st., Footcray, was married to Mr Archibald W. Snaith, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Snaith, of Hyde - street, Footscray. The Rev. Oliver Dowsing was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who 'was given' away by her father, wore a dainty dress of white crepe de chene, the court train being lined with .pale pink pail ette and trimmned with orange blossom and a true' lovers' knot. She also wore a pretty wreath and veil, and carried _a bouquet of white carnations and stocks. " On leaving the :church she was presented with a' pretty horseshoe by one of' the kindergarten • scholars. The' bridesmaids were Miss Ida Cross and Miss May Snaith, who both wore becoming costumes of Fuji silk, and cream crepe de chene hats, trimmed with pink, and carried pretty bouquets of pink carnations and fern. Mr Walter Snaith acted as best man; Mr Harry Kranz was groomsman. A telegram of congratulation was received fromn the bride's aunt, Mrs W. C. R. Phillips, of Western Australia. Numerous pre seuts were received by the happy couple. Wedding tea was partaken of at the residence of the bride's parents, when the usual toasts were honoured.
